Microsoft is hiring a Software Engineer II for its Foundry Agentic Core Services Team within Core AI. The team builds cloud-native, distributed platforms that enable developers to build, run, and manage AI-powered agentic applications at scale.

What You'll Work On

• Build core platform components and reusable capabilities for AI applications.

• Contribute to architecture, design, implementation, and testing.

• Help develop distributed runtime systems for agentic applications.

• Improve the reliability, performance, and scalability of production services.

• Lead root cause analysis of live-site incidents and identify long-term improvements.

• Collaborate with customers, product teams, architects, and engineers to refine platform capabilities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, plus 3+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.

• 3+ years of experience designing, building, and operating production-grade software and services at scale.

• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with distributed systems, AI/ML infrastructure, developer platforms, or cloud services.

• Experience working directly with customers during integrations or deployments.
