Navan is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to build intuitive frontend experiences and scalable backend services for its corporate travel, payments, and expense management platform.

This role is a great fit for engineers who enjoy solving complex UI challenges, designing scalable systems, and owning features from frontend to backend.

What You'll Work On

• Design responsive, accessible, and high-performance interfaces using React, Angular, or Vue.

• Build enterprise workflows for travel policies, approval chains, user roles, and analytics dashboards.

• Develop backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.

• Create reusable UI components and improve frontend engineering practices.

• Own features end-to-end, from UI development to database integration and launch.

• Improve reliability through testing, monitoring, and documentation.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering leadership.

• Use AI coding tools to improve development productivity while maintaining code quality.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of software development experience, including substantial frontend development experience.

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks.

• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, SQL/NoSQL databases, and data modeling.

• Understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and cloud platforms such as AWS.

• Knowledge of web accessibility, localization, and frontend performance optimization.

• Strong ownership, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
