Anonymous2h ago

The recruitment process consisted of three rounds covering aptitude, computer science fundamentals, communication, and technical and HR discussions.

Round 1: Aptitude and Computer Science Fundamentals

Duration: 1 hour | Format: Online MCQ-based test

The first round covered aptitude and basic computer science fundamentals. The questions were relatively straightforward, and I found this round manageable.

A good understanding of fundamental CS concepts and regular aptitude practice can help candidates prepare for this stage.

Round 2: Group Discussion (GD)

Topic: Is Hard Work More Important Than Talent?

The group discussion evaluated communication skills, confidence, logical reasoning, and the ability to present ideas clearly.

I initiated the discussion and shared my views on both sides of the topic, supporting my arguments with relevant examples. I focused on maintaining a logical flow and contributing meaningfully to the conversation.

Tips for the GD round:

  • Start confidently and introduce the topic clearly.

  • Support your opinions with relevant examples.

  • Present both sides of the argument.

  • Listen to other participants and contribute meaningfully.

  • Maintain a respectful and professional tone.

Key questions discussed:

  2. What challenges did you face during your internship or projects, and how did you resolve them?

  3. How quickly can you learn new technologies?

  4. Which technologies did you use during your internship?

  5. Explain Prisma ORM and its use cases.

  6. Why did you choose PostgreSQL?

  7. What is the difference between RDBMS and non-relational databases?

  8. Which machine learning models have you trained, and why did you choose them?

  9. How have you demonstrated teamwork?

  10. Why are you interested in this role despite having a strong coding background?

  11. Questions about family background and future plans.

During the discussion, I explained my experience with Node.js, PostgreSQL, and Prisma ORM, along with the machine learning models I had used, including Random Forest Regression.

Being able to explain my technical choices and previous experiences clearly was important throughout the discussion.
