When One Offer Ended, My Journey Didn’t.

One setback changed my journey, but never my goal. Hi, I’m Vaibhav Shaw, a 2024 graduate from Jadavpur University, where I studied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering.

Starting My Preparation

I used TUF throughout my internship and placement preparation. It was a challenging time, with a hiring freeze and fewer companies visiting campus.

I was among the first few students to secure a Software Development role at a startup. I thought I was done, until my offer was revoked at the very last moment.

Starting Over, Without Changing the Strategy

I had to start again, but I didn't change my preparation strategy. I went back to the TUF lectures, followed the roadmap, solved problems, revised concepts, and trusted the process.

Eventually, I received eight offers, joined a US based startup, and later made my way to Amazon.

Why TUF Mattered

TUF played a huge role in my journey. In fact, the first thing I bought with my first salary was the TUF premium course. It felt like my small way of giving back to a platform that had helped me so much.

A Full Circle Moment at Amazon

On my second day at Amazon, I unexpectedly met Striver. He had come to meet a friend who turned out to be my teammate.

I definitely wasn't expecting to meet him at work!

My Advice to Juniors

Keep your preparation simple: follow a structured roadmap, practice consistently, revise, and trust the process.

Placements can bring rejections, delays, and unexpected setbacks, but one setback doesn't decide your future.

Keep improving every day, and opportunities will come.

A Special Thank You

“A heartfelt thank you to Striver and the entire takeUforward team for building a platform that has been such an important part of my journey.”
