I Revised the Same Sheet 5 Times, Without Seeing What Was Awaiting

Hi, I'm Molly Priya, a B.Tech student in Computer Science and Engineering (AI) at NSUT. I recently completed my Software Engineer internship at IBM and received a full time Software Engineer offer from Salesforce.

That One Resource That Stayed

Striver's A2Z DSA Sheet became my go to resource throughout my preparation.

I revised it 4 to 5 times during my internship and again while preparing for full time interviews.

Instead of constantly solving random problems, I focused on:

  • Understanding the concepts deeply

  • Revising the same important problems repeatedly

  • Strengthening my fundamentals

  • Building familiarity with common problem solving patterns

The repeated revision made it much easier to quickly recall important concepts during interviews.

I Built It Through Repetition

My strategy was simple: stay consistent.

  • I solved DSA problems every day.

  • I regularly revised older problems.

  • I focused on the logic instead of memorising solutions.

  • I practised explaining my approach while solving problems.

Over time, this made problem solving feel more natural.

I Learned That How I Think Matters

One thing I realised during interviews was that reaching the perfect solution immediately wasn't always the most important thing.

Interviewers wanted to understand how I thought:

  • How I analysed the problem

  • What approaches I considered

  • Why I chose one approach over another

  • What trade offs I identified

  • How I improved the solution

Striver's teaching style helped me develop this mindset. It wasn't just about learning solutions, it was about learning how to think through problems.

Don't Chase Thousands of Problems

Don't keep jumping between resources.

  • Pick one good roadmap and trust it.

  • Revise important problems multiple times.

  • Focus on strong fundamentals.

  • Practise explaining your thought process.

  • Choose consistency and revision over solving thousands of random questions.

You don't need to know everything. You need to understand what you learn deeply.

From IBM to Salesforce

My journey had its share of challenges, but staying consistent and trusting the process helped me reach my goal.

After completing my Software Engineer internship at IBM, I secured a full time Software Engineer offer from Salesforce.

Looking back, the same resource I kept revising during my internship became the foundation I relied on again for my full time interviews.
