Every Problem Solved Took Me Closer to Amazon
Getting shortlisted for Round 1 of the Software Development Engineer (SDE) role at Amazon is a milestone that means a lot to me. Hi everyone, I am Sumit, and this is my journey.
Building the Foundation
This journey didn't begin with luck. It began with a decision to become better every day.
I focused on building a strong foundation in Data Structures and Algorithms, with takeUforward playing an important role in my preparation. The structured learning and consistent problem solving helped me focus on understanding concepts rather than simply memorizing solutions.
Learning From Every Problem
Every solved question, wrong submission, and late night debugging session taught me something valuable.
Over time, I developed not just stronger DSA skills, but also a better problem solving mindset, consistency, and confidence to approach challenging coding problems.
The Milestone
Today, being shortlisted for Amazon's Round 1 feels like a validation of all that effort.
But this isn't the destination. It's another step toward my long term goal of becoming a skilled software engineer who keeps learning and builds impactful products.
A Thank You
“I'm grateful to everyone who supported me and especially thankful for the learning resources from takeUforward. Whatever the outcome, I'll keep learning, improving, and striving to become a better engineer every day.”
