Apple is hiring a Senior Applied AI Engineer to build AI applications, data platforms, and machine learning infrastructure. The role focuses on taking AI prototypes into production, developing agentic workflows, and building scalable AI solutions across Apple's internal platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop AI applications and transform prototypes into production-ready agentic workflows.

• Build and extend AI, data, and machine learning platforms.

• Take ownership of software delivery, user adoption, system monitoring, and production troubleshooting.

• Identify technical challenges and collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement solutions.

• Manage technical strategy, priorities, deadlines, and deliverables across distributed teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 8+ years of experience in software or platform development.

• Strong programming skills in Python; experience with TypeScript, Java, or Go is a plus.

• Experience architecting AI systems on cloud platforms.

Preferred Skills

• Experience deploying production-grade AI solutions for internal or external users.

• Knowledge of LLM serving and inference frameworks.

• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGen.

• Applied AI experience with prompt engineering, fine-tuning, RAG, and agent orchestration.

• Ability to build secure agentic workflows using MCP, tool calling, and OAuth authentication.

• Understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms.

• Experience with distributed systems such as Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, or Flink.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve complex technical issues independently.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
