Flipkart SDE-2 Interview Experience (September 2026) | Selected

Sharing my Flipkart interview experience.

The process had five rounds.

Round 1: Machine Coding

The question was to design and implement a vehicle rental service similar to Zoomcar.

Round 2: Machine Coding Evaluation

The interviewer went through my code from the first round and asked questions about a few design decisions, especially concurrency.

We discussed scenarios like two threads trying to book the last available vehicle, handling credit limits when multiple BNPL orders happen at the same time, and choosing the right locking strategy. There were also questions about how easily the code could be extended in the future.

Round 3: PSDS

The problems asked in this round were:

Round 4: System Design

The question was to design a ticket booking system for a popular event where thousands of users might try to book seats at the same time.

The main focus was on preventing double booking, managing seat reservations, handling payment failures, and making sure the system could handle heavy traffic without inconsistencies.

Round 5: Hiring Manager

This round was mainly about my recent project. We discussed the architecture, my role, the challenges I faced, and the trade-offs I made while building it.

Result

I received the offer letter about three weeks after completing the Hiring Manager round.
