I Wanted to Leave TCS but Didnt Know What To Expect

Hello everyone, I'm Rahul, I was working at TCS and was determined to make a switch.

I searched everywhere for resources to prepare, but eventually, takeUforward became the only platform I needed.

How TUF Changed My Preparation

I used TUF to:

• Practise DSA and understand problem solving patterns

• Follow a structured approach to computer fundamentals

• Prepare Computer Networks and DBMS

• Revise concepts in a focused, organised way

What stood out was how closely the preparation matched my interviews.

For almost every company I interviewed with, questions around computer fundamentals, networking, and DBMS were directly covered in the TUF sheets.

Don't Ignore Computer Fundamentals

If you're preparing for a switch from a service based company to a product based company, don't make preparation unnecessarily complicated.

Find a structured resource, understand the concepts, and stay consistent. You don't need to keep searching when you already have a clear path.

From TCS to Oracle

And then, finally, the day came.

I got selected at Oracle.

The dream of moving from a service based company to a product based company became a reality. What started as a desperate search for the right preparation resource ended with the switch I had been working toward.

Sometimes, finding the right roadmap is the first step toward finding the right opportunity.
