I Learned That Consistency Matters More Than Intensity

Hi, I’m Nilesh Baheti, a Computer Science undergraduate at NIT Silchar. I’ve completed software engineering internships at Amazon and Razorpay, where I worked on backend systems, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and microservices.

Finding Structure in DSA

takeUforward played a major role in making my DSA preparation structured. The roadmap helped me cover topics in the right sequence, while the curated problems helped me build confidence through consistent practice.

I also recently enrolled in TUF+ to strengthen my understanding of Low Level Design and found the structured content and practical examples really helpful

Preparing Beyond DSA

My preparation was built around consistency. I started with strong DSA fundamentals and gradually moved towards harder problems.

Alongside DSA, I revised OS, DBMS, CN, and OOP, worked on projects, and gained practical experience through internships. Contests and mock interviews also helped me become more comfortable with coding rounds and technical discussions.

What I Learned Along the Way

My journey taught me that consistency beats intensity. Every problem solved, contest, rejection, and learning experience contributed to my growth.

My internships at Amazon and Razorpay gave me valuable real world exposure, while takeUforward helped keep my preparation focused and structured.

My Advice to Juniors

Start early and stay consistent. Focus on understanding concepts rather than memorising solutions. Practise regularly, revise often, strengthen your CS fundamentals, and build projects you can confidently explain.

Most importantly, don't compare your journey with someone else's. Consistent effort over time makes the biggest difference.
