I Ignored the Noise and Just Followed Striver’s Sheets
I’m currently a full time SDE at AWS, but my journey with takeUforward started way back in my second year of college.
Hi all, I am Sudipta Basak
Finding What Worked for Me
Back then, it was mainly the A2Z Sheet and its shorter version for quick interview preparation. There were countless resources available online, but I was so impressed by Striver’s explanations that I decided to shut out the noise and stick to his sheets.
And I completed them all.
Understanding, Not Memorising
One thing I followed throughout my interview preparation was simple: solve the problem, but if you get stuck, understand the concept instead of memorising the solution.
Striver’s explanations helped me understand the patterns behind problems. Over time, I reached a point where I could recognise a pattern and explain the approach myself.
That understanding made all the difference.
Trusting the Process
It wasn’t an easy journey. The hardest part is that you don't always see the results of your hard work immediately. But that's exactly when you have to keep going. Trust the process, stay consistent, and keep putting in the work. The results will eventually follow, mine did too, I cracked Amazon.
A Message to Future Engineers
If there’s one thing I’d tell anyone preparing for placements, it’s this: Mehnat kar. Best bann. Aur cheen le. Keep learning, keep improving, and don't let the noise distract you from your goal.
A Thank You
“A big thank you to Striver and the entire takeUforward team. The sheets and explanations gave me the foundation that stayed with me throughout my preparation and played an important role in my journey to becoming an SDE at AWS.”
